The Storyteller’s Lab is a 2 week residency that is a space for formerly incarcerated individuals to expand their ability to identify and mobilize the power in their own personal stories for social change. Featuring a wide range of facilitators including criminal justice organizers, local community advocates, playwrights, and actors from Broadway,  film, and television, the Storyteller’s Lab focuses on skill building including development of a personal artistic voice, honing performance skills, and sharpening advocacy strategies.

If you are interested in participating in the Storyteller’s Lab, email Kiana Taylor to express your interest at kiana@bwayadvocacycoalition.org.

The Storyteller’s Lab was originally conceived by Chesray Dolpha, Dunasha Payne, and Yolanda Johnson-Peterkin. The first cohort of the Storyteller’s Lab culminated in a final combined piece called The StoryTeller’s Prayer.
